Today in the basement floor of the building a few rows of seats are preserved and exhibited along with the supporting structure providing the necessary grade of inclination for the sitting spectators. Such superstructure gives reason to the belief that the eastern part of the stadium was supported by cone-shaped vaults in a joint structure built in advance. A similar one supports the seats of the Ancient Odeon. Such a supporting system – superstructure, is a typical Roman technique. In addition to the seats, masonry walls belonging to other historical periods, ashlar masonry and ceramic pavement are exhibited.
During the construction of the building at the former “House of Trade” (2006), ruins were discovered. They turned out to be part of the Ancient Stadium of Philippopolis.
