Cyrene
The stadium is located in the Eastern end of the town, near the Temple of Zeus. Its orientation is North-South. Despite the vague contours of the plan it is believed that the stadium dimensions were about 350 meters in length and 60 meters in width. Some of the seats were carved directly into the rock, using its natural slope.
Leptis Magna
This is the best preserved stadium, located near the coastline. Some of the seats used the natural slope of the shore. Entrances organised in two levels served the numerous spectators – the facility had a capacity of about 23,000 people. Its dimensions are 450 meters in length and 100 meters in width. Much of the stadium remains are visible today.
