Central Railway Station ("Tsentralna gara") - "Dzhumaya" Square (hiking route)

1. Exit through the main entrance of the train station. About 50 meters before you there is a bus stop, go towards it and after you pass through the parking lot you will see a underpass at the right.
2. Enter the underpass and go left. Exit through the last exit slightly to the right. You'll find yourself in a green island space.
3. Take a slight right and cross the street where you can see a dunner kebab shop across the road.
4. Go left and walk on the sidewalk, going round the roundabout.
5. At the first boulevard - "Ivan Vazov" Blvd - continue along it.
6. Go straight ahead until you enter a large square with a fountain - this is the central square, called "Ploshtad Tsentralen".
7. Go along the square directly. At your right side there's a large white building - the Central Post Office ("Tsentralna Poshta") and to the left - the city garden ("Gradska gradina").
8. Once you pass by the Central Post Office, continue straight ahead the main pedestrian street, called "Glavnata" and you will get to "Dzhumaya" square and the Ancient stadium.

Bus Station South ("Avtogara Yug") - "Dzhumaya" Square (hiking route)

1. Exit the Bus station in front of the main busy avenue and go right.
2. When you reach the traffic lights, go right down the sidewalk, going round the roundabout.
3. At the first boulevard - "Ivan Vazov" blvd. - continue along it.
4. Go straight ahead until you enter a large square with a fountain - this is the central square, called "Ploshtad Tsentralen".
5. Go along the square directly. At your right side there's a large white building - the Central Post Office ("Tsentralna Poshta") and to the left - the city garden ("Gradska gradina").
6. Once you pass by the Central Post Office, continue straight ahead the main pedestrian street, called "Glavnata" and you will get to "Dzhumaya" square and the Ancient stadium.

2. Go off the bus at the second stop, right after passing by a shopping mall under construction. Go back to the crossroad that you have just passed on the bus.
3. Turn left on Gladstone Street, then go straight ahead until you approach a tunnel.
4. Climb over the tunnel by walking along an alley parallel to the main street.
5. Continue straight ahead 200 meters and you will find yourself in the Central Square ("Ploshtad Tsentralen"), in front of you is the Post Office building ("Tsentralna Poshta") and its famous clock - famous meeting place called "The Clock" ("Tshasovnika").
6. Turn left and walk straight ahead the main pedestrian street, called "Glavnata" and you will get to "Dzhumaya" square and the Ancient stadium.

3. Go down to the archaeological underpass ("Podlez Arheologicheski") - you will see the ruins of an ancient street and peristyle building Eirene.
4. Continue on the next route.

Archaeological underpass ("Podlez Arheologicheski") - "Dzhumaya" Square (hiking route)

1. Go down to the archaeological underpass ("Podlez Arheologicheski") - you will see the ruins of an ancient street and peristyle building Eirene.
2. Exit the underpass on the side of the Trimontium hotel and the Central Post Office("Tsentralna Poshta"), go towards the tunnel.
3. At the first intersection turn left - the street is called "Patriarh Evtimiy".
4. When you reach McDonalds and "Bingo" (a meeting place), turn right and continue along the main pedestrian street, called "Glavnata" and you will get to "Dzhumaya" square and the Ancient stadium.

Plovdiv airport ("Letishte Krumovo") - Central Railway Station ("Tsentralna gara") (train)

3. Go on the other side of the road, it leads you to a walkway called the Little Main street ("Malkata glavna").
4. Go straight ahead and you will get to "Dzhumaya" square and the Ancient stadium.

Plovdiv International Fair ("Plovdivski panair") - "Dzhumaya" Square (hiking route)

1. If you are on the side of Plovdiv International Fair ("Plovdivski panair"), cross to the opposite sidewalk.
2. Take the bridge over the Maritsa River, cross it and go straight ahead until you reach a large busy intersection. On the corner you can see a monument - old public bathroom.
3. Go across the road through the underpass at the intersection.
4. Continue straight ahead, you will see a bus stop and the tunnel beyond.
5. After passing the station, turn right at the small street - "Zhelezarska" street - before the tunnel.
6. Go straight ahead and you will get to "Dzhumaya" square and the Ancient stadium.
